The pocket print process

In the pocket print process, the blister pack is prepared in a way that is particularly attractive for patients. The blister is not only perforated so that it can be simply divided up into individual doses – the individual dose itself has the variable information such as production date, batch number or minimum durability printed on it.

The pocket print process is especially important for markets in which drugs are not always given to patients in complete sales units with a package insert but also in very small quantities. Here, the patient can still be guided by the information printed on each individual dose. However, the process also offers advantages in other situations: for example, instead of taking a whole pack with them, patients can simply take their daily dose on a trip - or determine precisely whether a dose they’ve rediscovered has a use-by date which is still valid.
