How do we protect the data?

The hosting service for our digital assets provides us with the online platform through which we can provide our services to you. Your information may be stored through our hosting provider's data storage, databases and general applications. They store your information on secure servers behind a firewall and they provide secure HTTPS access to most areas of their services.

Notwithstanding the measures and efforts taken by us and our hosting provider, we cannot and do not guarantee absolute protection and security of any information you upload, post or otherwise share with us or others.

For this reason, we ask that you set strong passwords and, if possible, refrain from sending us or others any confidential information that you believe could cause you significant or lasting harm if disclosed. In addition, because email and instant messaging are not considered secure forms of communication, we ask that you do not share any confidential information through any of these communication channels.

How do we deal with minors?

Children can use our Services, but if they want access to certain features, they may be required to provide certain information. Collection of some information (including information collected through cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies) may occur automatically. If we knowingly collect, use, or disclose information collected from a child, we will provide notice and obtain parental consent in accordance with applicable law. We do not condition a child's participation in an online activity on the child providing more contact information than is reasonably necessary to participate in that activity. We use the information we collect only in connection with the services the child has requested.

We may also use a parent's contact information to communicate about the child's activities on the Services. Parents may view information we have collected from their child, prohibit us from collecting any more information about your child, and request that all information we have collected be deleted from our records.

Please contact us to view, update, or delete your child's information. To protect your child, we may ask you to provide proof of your identity. We may refuse to grant you access to the data if we believe your identity is in question. Please note that certain data cannot be deleted due to other legal obligations.

  • the use of your personal data is necessary to comply with relevant legal or regulatory obligations; or

  • the use of your personal data is necessary to support our legitimate business interests (provided that this is always done in a manner that is proportionate and respects your data protection rights).

As an EU resident, you can:

If you are located in the EEA, your personal information will only be transferred to locations outside the EEA if we are satisfied that an adequate or equivalent level of personal data protection exists. We will take appropriate steps to ensure that we have appropriate contractual arrangements in place with our third parties to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place so that the risk of unlawful use, alteration, deletion, loss or theft of your personal information is minimised and that such third parties act in accordance with applicable laws at all times.

California Consumer Privacy Law Rights

If you are a California resident using the Services, you may have rights to request access to and deletion of your information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).

Use of Google Webfonts

In order to display our content correctly and graphically appealing across all browsers, we use fonts on this website, including those from Google Webfonts (https://fonts.google.com/). These fonts are hosted locally; no connection is established to a Google server, so the IP address of the website user is not transmitted. If the browser does not support Google Webfonts or prevents access, content will be displayed in a standard font.

You can find Google's privacy policy here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies and the use of this analysis tool are based on Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f of GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

This website uses the "demographic characteristics" function of Google Analytics. This enables reports to be created that contain information about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and from visitor data from third parties. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google Account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section “Objection to data collection”.

Facebook Pixel

Our website uses the visitor action pixel from Facebook, Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) to measure conversions.

This allows the behavior of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimized.

The data collected is anonymous for us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with the Facebook data usage policy. This enables Facebook to enable advertisements to be placed on Facebook pages and outside of Facebook. We as the website operator cannot influence this use of the data.

The use of Facebook pixels is based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media.

You can find further information on protecting your privacy in Facebook's privacy policy: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

You can also deactivate the "Custom Audiences" remarketing function in the ad settings section at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. You must be logged in to Facebook to do this.

If you do not have a Facebook account, you can deactivate usage-based advertising from Facebook on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

Updates or changes to the Privacy Policy

We encourage you to check this Privacy Policy periodically for changes. If any changes are material, we will post a notice on our Site. Your continued use of the Services after we have posted notice of changes on our Site will constitute your acknowledgement and consent to the changes to the Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the terms of those changes.
